The Research Group Social Work Theory cooperates closely with local social services and welfare institutions. This is based on the philosophy that the Research Group is not conducting research for, but with professionals and citizens together.
On a national level, the Research Group is affiliated with national organisations, research institutes and other universities of applied sciences and academic higher education. Collaboration with these organisations and institutions is essential to develop the research with regard to the neighbourhood approach and the enforcement of the concept of social work.
The Research Group, and the Research Centre, are also very active internationally. In the Norm thematic network on participative citizenship, ten universities from different background are working together on exchange in the field of masters and comparative research.
